Gansai is a traditional form of Japanese watercolours based off of Sumi inks. They were poured into large pans suitable for the large brushes used in Japanese painting and formulated for Japanese rice papers.
6 Metallic-toned Gansai that sparkle like gemstones. Ideal for calligraphy, illustrations, brush lettering and more! With excellent opaqueness, the deep colours embellish the paper and stand out boldly.
Gansai Tambi Pans are much larger than typical watercolour pans, giving you the ability to use both small or large brushes quite easily.
Larger paint pans make it is easy to use ultra-fine, detail brushes, as well as wide-brushes to cover larger space without losing colour. Each pan is carefully poured at our headquarters in Nara, Japan.
Conforms to ASTM D 4237, ACMI-certified for safety, registered AP mark. Perfect for gifts.
